Profilers, Probes and Sondes

 The AML-1 is most frequently used with a sound velocity sensor for beam steering in multibeam sonar applications. The same instrument can also be deployed on buoys and underwater observatories - platforms with a fixed depth - to collect CT data and calculate salinity and density. The probe is sometimes used with Turbidity or Pressure sensors. The AML-1 RT is designed for real-time data streaming, and has neither battery nor memory.

This entry level version of the AML-3 is commonly deployed on buoys and underwater observatories, as well as on ROVS and AUVs. The AML-3 RTS is designed for real-time data streaming, and has neither battery nor memory. 

 The industry standard for high accuracy profiling, the LGR is predominantly used for water column work. This version of the AML-3 comes with a Lithium Ion battery and onboard memory. Data transfer is effected via WiFi or USB connectivity. To maximize reliability, instrument on / off is managed with a magnetic switch rather than a bulkhead connector. 

 This entry level version of the AML-6 is commonly deployed on buoys and underwater observatories, as well as on ROVS and AUVs. The AML-6 RTS is designed for real-time data streaming, and has neither battery nor memory. .
